Trades and Apprenticeship

This program is intended to assist individuals who are looking for long-term employment in the area of trades and apprenticeship.  This may include assistance with job placement, tracking apprenticeship hours, training and equipment.

Skills Development – Non Trades

This program is intended to assist unemployed or underemployed individuals who lack specific employment skills in order to increase their employability.  NENAS may provide assistance for short-term skills based training programs under a year in length.  Costs may include tuition and training materials.

Confirmed Job Supplement

This program provides a supplement for essential work related items and short term training.  This program is available for unemployed or underemployed individuals who have a confirmed job and would be unable to start working due to an inability to purchase work related items.
